As a leader, what should you know OR be asking for? Communicating the needs, success and large risks of any cybersecurity team or program can be complicated and challenging. In this session, we will demystify Cybersecurity Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), focusing on how Tribal entities can develop and utilize simplified, meaningful, and impactful metrics. We will discuss the importance of selecting KPIs that align with the unique cultural, economic, and operational contexts of Tribal organizations. Attendees will learn how to identify critical metrics that effectively measure cybersecurity posture, track progress, and communicate risks to leadership and community stakeholders. Key topics will include incident response planning, vulnerability management, user awareness training, and compliance with regulatory requirements. By the end of the session, Tribal admin and IT leadership will be equipped with practical tools to create a cybersecurity KPI framework that enhances transparency, supports strategic decision-making, and fosters a robust security culture within their communities.
