Angie Wilson serves as director of Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center, Nevada’s largest tribal health center. Under Angie’s leadership, Reno-Sparks recently became the state’s first tribal clinic to receive designation as a Tribal Federally Qualified Health Center. Angie is a creative, forward-thinking leader, as evidenced by the health center’s recent collaboration with Nevadawork’s Good Jobs Northern Nevada program to connect community members with careers in healthcare. She is also working to optimize workflows at Reno-Sparks by leveraging AI. A longtime advocate for tribal health equity, Angie has over 26 years of experience in healthcare administration. Her leadership has been recognized at national, regional and local levels. In addition to being invited to provide testimony at the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs and hosting U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra at her clinic, Angie was honored as the 2024 Advocate of the Year Awardee by the National Indian Health Board.
