Frias leads a team of attorneys and consultants who provide legal services and policy advice to Native American tribes, organizations, and businesses. With over a decade of experience in Indian law, civil litigation, trademarks, and tribal jurisdiction, Carrie has a proven track record of delivering results and solutions for her clients. Carrie’s passion for Indian law stems from her academic background and her in-house work for tribal governments. She holds a J.D. with a Certificate in Indian Law from the University of New Mexico School of Law, and a Master’s in Native American Studies from UCLA. She has also worked as a lobbyist, a prosecutor, a law clerk, and a legal researcher for various tribes and agencies. As the Chief General Counsel for the Pueblo of Pojoaque, she was second chair in a successful federal lawsuit against the State of New Mexico. Carrie is licensed to practice in the State of New Mexico, several tribal courts, and the Tenth Circuit.
