Kevin Beaver is an independent information security consultant, writer, expert witness, and professional speaker with over 35 years of experience in IT – the last 29 years of which he has dedicated to information security. Before starting his company, Principle Logic, in 2001, Kevin served in IT and security roles for various healthcare, e-commerce, financial firms, educational institutions, and consulting organizations. Kevin has appeared on CNN television as an information security expert and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur Magazine, Fortune Small Business, Men’s Health, Women’s Health and Inc. Magazine’s technology site IncTechnology.com. His work has also been referenced by the PCI Security Standards Council in their Data Security Standard Wireless Guidelines. Kevin has presented at seminars and conferences hundreds of times at shows for TechTarget, Gartner, RSA, ISACA, and others. Additionally, he has performed hundreds of webinars for TechTarget, Ziff Davis, and other media outlets. Kevin earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering Technology from Southern College of Technology and his master’s degree in Management of Technology from Georgia Tech. He also holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification which he obtained in 2001.
